Welcome, welcome, welcome!
Welcome, readers & writers. I am so glad you’re here.
I’m Amanda, a 20-year-old aspiring writer with many thoughts. My favorite author is Sally Rooney (so, yeah, I love romances where they don’t end up together). I love deep-dives into films, watching award shows, and buying CDs of every album I love.
Good Riddance
“Good Riddance” has always been a phrase I’ve held near and dear to my heart (can you tell I’m a Gracie Abrams fan?) In simple terms, the idiom is used “to say that one is glad that someone is leaving or that something has gone” à la Merriam Webster.
I started Good Riddance as a creative outlet — a space for personal essays, book reviews, and the occasional deep dive into pop culture, love, loss, and everything in between. This is a place where I untangle the past, romanticize the mundane, and attempt to make sense of it all — one word at a time.
If you, too, are a lover of stories, nostalgia, and overanalyzing song lyrics, then you’re in the right place. Welcome to Good Riddance (and my mind) — a space for shedding the old, reflecting on the past, and embracing what’s next.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
